Ensemble Nist-Nah – ...invite Rie Nakajima [CS]

"In 2025 Ensemble Nist-Nah has commissioned various musicians to work with the group, composing / proposing music and sound works that are coherent with the ongoing nature of the groups aesthetics and working strategies. The second of which was with Japanese performer / sound artist Rie Nakajima. Rie's long term work with small percussion, found and made objects and motorised / vibratory self playing systems was the perfect match for Ensemble Nist-Nah's vision of contemprary percussion / gamelan. Special mention also to Toma Gouband, who played on our first album and is a long time inspiration and collaborator with Nist-Nah.

Rie says :
This collaboration gives me a sense of unity, as if we are all feeling the ground with our bare feet and measuring the distance to the sky.
Playing with this group feels like I can feel the air vibrating from both inside and outside.
