Johannes Kreidler – Public Sound #7: Product Placements [10"/Printed Matter]

"Single sided 10" vinyl with the work 'Product Placements', consisting of 72.400 samples and lasting 33 seconds in total. It can be seen as a performative, sculptural, auditive and political piece all together. Kreidler made this work in order to test the GEMA structure for the new era of sampling. 'Product Placements' is a great example of how this composer works. It was presented within our 'Music & Capitalism' program. In which we focused on the entanglement of the market and how music is positioned to this form a capitalistic perspective. Comes with a sticker on the vinyl, and a poster."
