a weirdly under-sung comp of tracks spanning england's hidden reverse & broader international industrial murk from '85, featuring hits from all your favourites.

the lineup here is pretty ridiculous, featuring tracks from nurse with wound, hafler trio, annie anxiety, p16.d4, crass (in tape-screwed headmelt mode), current 93 & coil to name but a few. this was released in support of the animal liberation front, which really doesn't come through in the music at all, but who really cares...this is a none more perfect primer for this whole ephemeral movement, each artist throwing a bit of a curveball across molten collage, zany pop & weirdo punk. what more could one ever need? (the answer to this question is: nothing).
